ruby-dbd-mysql software package provides Ruby/DBI MySQL driver, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-dbd-mysql
ruby-dbd-mysql is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-dbd-mysql package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-dbd-mysql *
You will get with ruby-dbd-mysql package name, version, architecture and description in a table
